Week 6: 11/27/2017: Cherry Pie
Hey y'all!
P day already?! That's crazy! Of course it been a busy week, but it has been a great week. A lot has happened and I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
To start this week out I went on exchanges again with Sister Ward! She is an awesome missionary! I went to Lilburn with her, and we met some really awesome people. We had dinner at a members house which was interesting. She was so sweet and made awesome food, but she didn't sit with us for dinner ha! It was a little weird but it's all good. I learned a lot from her and I was glad I got to go on exchanges.
On Wednesday we went tracting all day. It was awesome! Thursday was Thanksgiving, and it was so much fun. We got to be with members all day! In the morning we went to the Turkey Bowl with a member. It was a lot of fun. Of course we didn't play, but it was fun to be there! Later that day We helped a family cook Thanksgving dinner. I got my mom's homemade cherry pie recipe, and I actually made it by myself! It was so much fun. It actally tasted good too which was good too! We had dinner with our ward mission leader and that was awesome. It was super good, but not my mom's cooking. We then went tracting for a little bit and ended the night with some members. We also got to go contacting during black Friday, but it was kind of a fail. Oh well! At least we tried. Thanksgiving was great, and I am so thankful for the members who had us over! We have so much to be grateful for.
One of the best things that happened this week was the Book of Mormon Experiment! Basically the experiment is that we would go up to random people and have them read just one page from the Book of Mormon and highlight anything they liked or that talked about God or Jesus Christ. They started this experiment in Athens, but it was fun to be able to do it in our area. Our whole district did it together and it was a blast! The first mall we went to we got kicked out of, but whatever haha! The security got mad at us and made us leave. Instead of giving up we and to some outlets near by. It was so cool! There were so many people and we had a lot of great contacts. I loved it! I hope we get to do that again soon!
Yesterday we had the opportunity to sing in sacrament meeting. Most of you know that I am not much of a singer, but i had so mjch fun! We sang with the Andersons and it was great! We also had an amazing lesson with Sarah yesterday. We were talking about the Book of Mormon and prayer. We shared personal experiences with her, and during the lesson the spirit was so strong. We couldn't stop crying. I love this Gospel because the people aren't always converted by what they hear, but because of what they feel. I love it so much. I know the Book of Mormon can answer all questions, and that if we pray with sincere desires we can receive answers. I am thankful for the knowledge I have of the Gospel, and the joy that it brings into my life. It's amazing.
Overall I am doing great and learning so much. My first transfer is almost over in a couple of weeks which is crazy! Georgia is great, but it is starting to get cold! I hope all is well and that everyone is doing great! Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of you. Unconditionally. Thank you for the support and love! It means everything to me. Love you ❤
