Week 19: 2/26/2018: The Still, Small Voice

Hey y'all! Another week already?! It's been an awesome week here in Georgia, and a lot of great things happened.

This week started off with a temple trip. I love the temple! We went as a zone, and that was a blast. I'm thankful for the personal revelation that is so easily received in the temple. We are blessed to have a temple so close!

We had some really great lessons this week! We had dinner with a member family, and it was incredible. The mom had asked us to teach a lesson about testimonies, and I dedicated my studies to that in the morning. I was lucky enough to receive inspiration on what we needed to teach this family. We talked about testimonies and then had the kids hide a picture of Jesus and have their mom find it. We asked them why we would do that, and their answers were so sweet. We then began to share our testimonies. All of the kids wanted to share theirs as well. One of the boys wanted to share his testimony so bad, but he was crying too much. It was the sweetest thing. The amazing thing was that even though he didn't say anything, the spirit was there to testify for him. I love the Holy Ghost because he is the teacher. I'm not the one who says or does anything, but it's the Holy Ghost who prompts me to do everything. We just have to be open to listening for those promptings, and acting upon them.

Another lesson we had was very special. We had told a less active that we could do lessons over Facebook messenger. She thought that was awesome, and so we had a lesson with her. She opened up to us like never before. She told us of a very special experience she had. She was praying to Heavenly Father, and she prayed for us. She was praying that we wouldn't give up on her, and then we texted her 5 minutes later. I know the spirit prompted me to text her, and I am thankful for God's timing. Everything in this life happens for a reason. Something as small as a text can change someone's day!

Here is a bit of a funnier experience, but I'll tell it from Sister Oldhams perspective 🤣
" There's not much going on in our mission... We got a call from an unknown number Saturday asking if we were the ones passing cards out. Said we were, but not anymore. She FLIPPED OUT. Claimed that we were enticing little children to open the door to strangers and that she was reporting us to the police and if we ever came back to that neighborhood she'd find us. It was so great 😄 Basically the highlight of my whole mission lolol. " Mission life is seriously the greatest!

This week was great, and I hope everyone is doing good. Thank you for the support and love! Love y'all.
