Week 23: 3/26/2018: The Lord's Work, Not Mine

Hey y'all! It's been a great week in Georgia, as always. It's the Lord's work, so it's always good 😉

This week we had zone P day, and that was a blast. We played volleyball and had so much fun! I'm not going to lie, I was definitely sore the next day 🤣 I love getting together with all of the other missionaries because it's nice to see those who are doing the same thing as you. We are able to learn from each other and become best friends!

We did a lot of finding this week.. like every week lol. We were able to talk to a lot of people and teach them, but the results we wanted didn't necessarily come. It was frustrating, but Kevin(awesome ward mission leader) was able to help me and remind me that this is the Lord's work, not mine. Everything is on His time clock, and I am just lucky enough to be helping  Him here in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. As people, we want results quickly, but that doesn't leave a lot of room for growth. I know that being out here, I have been able to grow and try to do everything according to God's will. Of course I have frustrating moments, but I am truly blessed to be a missionary. I LOVE it out here!

This week we also had zone conference, and that is always my favorite! We learned more about family history and how to use it in our finding efforts. We also learned about goals and how important they are. Zone Conference is never boring, especially when you have a mission president like President Marsh. He is a blast! I love that guy lol.

On Sunday we had three of our investigators at church, and that was great. Ashton got to come again! During sacrament, the choir sang Easter songs and they were incredible. While they were singing one of the hymns, Ashton turned to me with tears in her eyes. Ashton said, " I can't stop crying." I said, "Ashton, that's the spirit." It's amazing to see people feel the spirit for the first time and see how powerful the Holy Ghost is.

I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. He suffered and died for us because He knew how much we could accomplish. Not only did he suffer and die, but He was resurrected on the third day. Because of Christ's Atonement, we are able to have hope in the future and in ourselves. He is the center of EVERYTHING. During Easter, remember how great Jesus Christ is and how much He loves you.

I hope everyone had a great week! Thank you for all of the support and love. Love y'all!
