Week 30: 5/14/2018: Hoping to "Heel" Soon

This week was challenging, but good. We went to the foot doctor and I have to wear a boot for 4 weeks, and if it gets better then I am good to go and if not then I will get surgery. Normally I would be worried, but I know that it's in the Lord's hands, and that everything will happen the way that it is supposed to. I went from sandals to a boot real quick 🤣

Because of the boot we can't do as much as we normally do, but we are making the best out of the situation. It can be hard, but I am very blessed to be able to serve.. especially with Sister Holman! I just love her ❤ Anyway, this past week I have been working on memorizing scriptures. Our ward mission leader was talking about memorizing, and I told him that's something I can't do, but I took the challenge anyway. I have 13 scriptures memorized from this past week and a half, which is not a lot, but for me it is a big accomplishment. I know we are all blessed with gifts and talents, and some of those we have to find on our own. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who wants us to succeed and become better. He is really always there for us.

Our investigator Jen is doing great! She came to church again, and I know she felt so much peace and love. I love watching the Gospel change lives, and I know it is doing just that for Jen. We got to hear from the bishop during the mother's day luncheon, and the spirit was so strong. I am thankful for mothers and all the mom's who have impacted my life. Especially my mom. I am so thankful I got to talk to her and my family on Mothers Day! I just love them! The best part was probably when the bed they were all sitting on broke 🤣 glad my family hasn't changed too much while I have been gone 😉 The crazy thing is the next time we talk I will be at my 14 month mark! Crazy, but so exciting!

The next few weeks will be challenging, but I know I will learn so much. Not every moment in your day will be perfect, but at the end of the day you can be comforted in knowing that the Church is true, Jesus Christ is always there for you, and God loves you very much. I hope y'all have a great week!
