Week 31: 5/28/2018 Change. Change. Change.

This will be my last email in the Laurel Springs area because I am getting transferred tomorrow morning. I am going to the Level Creek area and Sister Holman is going to Winder which is in Athens. We definitely did not see both of us leaving, but the Lord works in mysterious ways. Because of my foot, I have to stay close to my doctor, but President Marsh told me I could not stay in this area any longer... I definitely tried, but he said no🤣 So, the new area I will be in is about 5 miles from where I'm at now, and it is the smallest area in our mission. Also, I will be in a trio. Really didn't see that coming, but it will be great! I will learn a lot from my new companions, and I know the Lord has work for me to do with the people there in Level Creek.

Leaving Laurel Springs feels like I am leaving home all over again. It has been so hard to say goodbye to all the people I have gotten so close to in the last 7 1/2 months, but I am excited to meet new people and experience new things. Change is something I don't do well with, but as we trust in God we can be given strength to overcome anything we may go through. Kevin(awesome ward mission leader) gave me a blessing and said, "Blessings are not to tell us what to do, but to give us the strength to do it." That hit me really hard because I know I will need strength to overcome change and fears that I might have. I am so thankful to rely on Christ to help me and strengthen me where I need it.

Laurel Springs is the best area in the world, and I have been touched by so many people. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences I have had here, and I am excited for what is to come next. I will miss Sister Holman so much because she has truly touched my life. I am grateful for her testimony and her natural ability to work hard, but have fun. I will miss her, but she will do great things in Athens!
