Week 32: 6/4/2018: Crazy Week

Wow. What a crazy week it has been, but crazy is good.

Tuesday we had transfers, and that was a crazy morning. We got to the transfer meeting, and as I was walking in I turned around and saw SISTER OLDHAM! I tried to run towards her and then quickly realized my boot does not let me run 🤣🤣 It was so good to see her and it made my day! We all went and sat down before the meeting started, but then some not so good things happened. Sister Holman got news that one of her loved ones had passed away. It was so hard to see her be so heart broken, but I know that Jesus Christ will be there to comfort her. She was leaving her first area and companion and then got that news, and yet she was still an example to me. Of course she was sad, but Sister Holman is the perfect example of having a perfect brightness of hope. She did not complain or ask why, but continued on trusting in God's plan. I love her so much! The meeting continued and another surprise happened... Elder Hellyer is serving in the exact same mission as me! We went to school together and as he was standing up there to receive his trainer I thought he looked really familiar lol! So crazy!

I am in the Level Creek area (smallest area east if the Mississippi) now and I am also in a trio. The trio life is good, but just like any other companionship it has it's hard moments as well. We have had a blast this past week, and I know this transfer will be good.

I had the most spiritual experience of my entire mission a few days ago. We got to teach a guy named Armon, and he is friends with a boy from the Level Creek ward who is on a mission right now. The guy from our ward has been teaching him through Skype, and a few days ago we were able to teach him in person! Armon has not Christian background but is very smart. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and the spirit kept filling the room. At one point Armon stopped everyone and said, " Do you feel that? I am not trying to be naive, but when you talk I feel as if I am in a trance." When he said that the spirit was incredible. I know that the Holy Ghost is real. I have never felt so much power before, but I know that Armon is very special and that he felt the Holy Ghost as well.

Today might be hard.. not because of missionary work but because SHANIA TWAIN IS 8 MILES AWAY FROM ME. Not even joking. I knew she was in my mission today but not 8 miles away. For those of you who know me, you know that I am her biggest fan, and of course I cried knowing that she was so close 🤣 but missing her concert is totally worth it if I get to be a servant of the Lord!
