Week 40: 7/30/2018: Steppin' It Up
What an awesome week 😊 Gainesville is the place to be, and I had such a great birthday!
This week we went on three exchanges and that was a lot of fun! I love learning from all the sisters in the zone, and being able to apply what I learn in my own area. During the week we also had zone conference and that was a blast! The best part was meeting Bishop Sullivan from Meet The Mormons! He spoke to us and it was really powerful. The best part..? He taught us how to Step! We all went to the gym and Bishop Sullivan taught us how to Step dance. It was a lot of fun, and I felt like I was back on drill team ha! Definitely the highlight of my week!
For my birthday, Sister King surprised me with a breakfast and then we had a great birthday lunch at a members house! I was definitely spoiled, but I am so thankful for all that I have. I am so lucky!
I was asked to speak in church this past Sunday, and it actaully went really well. I don't mind speaking anymore, but I am glad it's over haha! I spoke about missionary work, and that was an easy topic to speak about. I explained that we are all missionaries and we all need to do the work of the Lord. As members, we are extremely blessed to have the gospel, and we should desire the welfare of others and share the gospel with them. I told the conversion story of my dad and how it not only changed his life, but changed generations. It was a powerful sacrament meeting, and I am grateful I got to be a or at of it. President and Sister Marsh also came and taught out 3rd hour class so that was a bonus!
I love serving a mission because I have never had a stronger testimony. I know without a doubt, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same church that Christ established while on this earth. It is His church. I know the Book of Mormon has power within every page, but if we don't open up the Book, the power is useless. I love this church and I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father.
Thank you for all the birthday wishes, gifts, and support! I am blessed! Lots of love.
