Week 42: 8/13/2018: Miracles
Hey y'all! What a great week it has been in Gainesville! We are working hard and finding a lot of success, so that makes me happy!
First off, I'm so happy my new niece Lena came into the world ❤ she is so cute! I know that the family is of God, and that He blessed us with our families for a reason. I am grateful for the amazing family I have because I learn so much from each one of them!
Sister King and I gave a training on extending baptismal invites. This can sound scary, but I know that this church has so much to offer and we should be telling everyone about it! We challenged our district to focus on extedning baptismal invites this week, and we took the challenge too! This week we found three sisters and we put them all on date for baptism on September 22nd! I am so excited for these cute girls because I know that being a member of the church will change their lives forever. We also met a little girl and her mom (who speaks mostly French), and the little girl, Isahella, Also accepted to be baptized! I know that baptism really is the first step towards our Heavenly Father.
We had an amazing week and I saw so many miracles! Some were big and some were small, but it reminded me how aware God is of each and every one of us. He loves us so much and I know that without a doubt. I love serving the Lord and helping others come unto Him.
We got to go to the temple, and I had a great experience! I went into the temple with a question, and came out with it unanswered. I was a bit discouraged, but continued on. I began talking with President Johnson, and one of the first things he said to me answered my question. I know God hears and answers our prayers, in His time and in His way.
Today our zone and the Coal Mountain zone are having a softball tournament, and I am super excited! Sister King and I also made a 3 layer HOMEMADE cake and frosting. To be honest, it turned out better than I thought it would! Lol!
