Week 49: 10/1/2018: Happy October!
Transfers have come and gone! I will be staying in Gainesville with Sister Willener for the next 6 weeks! Woot! Woot! I am so excited because we have a lot of great things coming up this transfer, and I am beyond grateful to still be here!
This past week, we had quite a few people at church! Alexis and her daughter Song and son Gavin came as well! All three of them want to get baptized, so we will hopefully set up a date this week! I can't wait to see the changes that will occur as they continue to learn more about the Gospel. It was also amazing to have a family come to church who has not been since December! As they say there, I couldn't help but simple, knowing that church is where they needed to be. I know God sees our efforts, and as we try a little bit harder to follow Him, he will bless us.
While tracting this week, we had an interesting experience. Sister Willener and I had been knocking doors for awhile, and the whole time this cute cat was following us. Cute, but still not my favorite 🤣 if you know me, you know I'm not the craziest about animals. Anyway, we knocked on this door and the lady came out and began talking to us. We asked if the cat was hers and she said, "Finally! We found kittens yesterday and took them to the shelter, and this has to be the mom!" It was the mom, so we called animal control to come get Hazel( at this point I had named the cat lol ), and they said it would not take so very long. Well... it took a long time! We sat on the front porch with this lady trying to keep the cat close by, and had a great time! At the end of all this, we got a return appointment to see the lady again! Blessings!
Great things are happening here, and I love being in Georgia! I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church that has the fullness of the gospel. The man who lives beneath us is super nice, and we got to talk to him for awhile the other day. I told him I absolutely love anything to do with space, and he told us how he is going to school to become an aerospace engineer. He asked if we could come back and talk more about space vs science, and we of course said yes! The next day, we woke up and were headed to the gym for exercise in the morning, and I looked up at the sky. It was still dark and the stars were out, and as I looked at the sky I just knew that this was from God. It was too much to just be happen chance, but instead, the creator of the universe made it that way. Don't forget to look at the details in everything!
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week! Lots of love
