Week 50: 10/8/2018: Prophet of God
Conference weekend was AMAZING! If you didn't watch it, I suggest you do because nobody wants to miss hearing the prophet speak!
This week was extremely busy, and part of that was because of MLC. It was so much fun to get together with the other leaders of the mission, and talk about the things we can do to better the work of the Lord. The best part was seeing Sister Holman, who I trained! She is doing awesome and I am so proud of her.
The rest of the week was mostly regular missionary work (which is the best), but I wanted to share some of my thoughts about conference.
While watching conference and hearing our prophet speak, I had the spirit testify to me that he truly is called of God. Russell M. Nelson was appointed to be the prophet at this time for a specific reason, and I believe part of that is to push us and make us become better disciples of Jesus Christ. I love President Nelson's talk about the name of the church. We are blessed to be a part of Christ's church, and the least we can do is call it by the correct name. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I also loved President Eyring's talk. Did I cry? Oh yes I did! The way he talked about his sweet wife and all he does for her, was the absolute cutest. We have the greatest men leading and guiding us, and they are all being led by the creator of the universe. How lucky are we!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fullness of the gospel, and I challenge all of you to reread the talks that were given this past weekend. I know you will feel God's love as you do so.
Today we are playing softball as a zone, so I am very excited! I hope everyone has a great week! Lots of love
