Week 61: 12/26/2018: UGA
This email is going to be short because I am busy packing for Athens. We got calls last night and I will be going to UGA campus with Sister Cleveland (again). I am heart broken to leave Gainesville because nowhere has felt as close to home, but it will be a good learning experience. Go Dawgs!
This last week here was incredible and I am extremely grateful for the time I had to serve in Gainesville. I met the most incredible people, and I can only thank my Heavenly Father for that. I know that the Lord loves me because I needed to serve here in order to grow into the person that God wants me to be. This next transfer will be very different from what I am used to, but there is a purpose for everything in life. I read a talk titled "Trust in the Lord." I have a long quote that I wanted to share, but it helped me a lot last night as I read it. It says, " Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more (see Prov. 3:11–12). He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain."
The Lord is by my side and so are my ancestors. Just like me, each of you have people watching over you. Trust in the Lord and in His will.
I hope y'all had a merry Christmas! Lots of love
