Week 22: 3/19/2018: Raining Cats and Dogs
Hey y'all! Another busy week in Laurel Springs. A lot of great things are happening, and I know there are even better things to come for this area!
This week was great! We had an amazing lesson with our new investigator Pedro. We met him tracting about a week ago, and he has been interested in the Book of Mormon ever since. We went to have a lesson with him, and when we got there he was watching a game. We asked if we could come in, but he said the game was on. If you know me, you know I'm pretty stubborn so I told him the Gospel was more important than the game, and then he let us in. We were able to read the first chapter of the Book of Mormon with him. It was incredible to see him open up to us, and really have a desire to know more. He is a great guy, and we are excited to continue teaching him.
The best part of the week was getting caught in the rain on our bikes. That was a blast 🤣 we had to bike this MONSTER hill, and then of course it started to rain. Georgia is the worst to bike in because of the hills, but we make the best of it! While it was POURING we were biking along, when we got a text from our investigator Ashton. She hasn't been allowed to come to church for about 3 months, and her dad FINALLY let her! It was such a tender mercy. I'll bike in the rain every day if things like that happen ha! While at church, Sarah and Ashton were both able to come. To top it all off, President Marsh spoke too! It was an amazing sacrament meeting, and you could really feel the spirit..
Laurel Springs is the best area, and I am excited to see what great things will happen. I hope everyone is doing good and is getting excited for general conference! Just a little longer. How lucky are we, to know that our church is directed by a prophet of God. We as people did not vote for him to be Prophet, but God chose him to be the prophet at this time. So cool! The church is true y'all.
