Week 34: 6/18/2018 Part of the Fun is the Climb

Another week has come and gone in Georgia, an do love it here!

This week we had sisters p day and that was fun. All the sisters in our zone got together and had a "spa day." We had a good time, and I am very blessed to be in the Sugar Hill zone. Sister Aiono is my STL, and I met her cousin in the MTC! So crazy!

The next day we had a doctor's appointment and that was good. I am still in a boot for the next couple weeks, but hopefully that changes soon. Being in a boot has been hard at times, but I know this is what is supposed to be happening. In D and C 10:4 it says, " Do not run faster or labor more than you have strength and means provided to enable you to translate; but be diligent unto the end." I know that we cannot have higher expectations for ourselves than God has for us, and sometimes the solution is not to just work harder but to work smarter. I have seen that in my mission and I have thought that I knew what was best for myself, but ultimately God knows the most. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and strengthens me in all that I do.

We also had zone conference this week, and that was awesome because I SAW SISTER HOLMAN! Gosh, I love/miss that girl! She is doing good in Athens though and it was fun to see her. 😊

Something a little more interesting that occurred this week, happened while we were store contacting in Kroger. A lady saw that I had a boot on my foot and she came and introduced herself. I have had people pray in the middle of the store with me before, but this was a little different. She said a prayer of healing and basically held my leg the whole time she prayed 🤣🤣 she seemed sincere, but it was a little awkward.

The best part of my week was receiving a much needed blessing. In my blessing, it told me that I have created friendships out here that will last through the eternities. I know that to be true. I was extremely blessed to meet some of the most amazing people while in Laurel Springs, and I will be forver grateful for them. I know that God has a plan and that everyone we meet is in our lives for a reason.

I love this church and I love my Father in Heaven. Also, happy (late) Fathers day to the world's greatest dad! Love y'all!
