Week 37: 7/9/2018: Gainesville Here I Come!

I had a great 4th of July, and I hope y'all did too! My week was exhausting, but that's the best kind of week!

I have never tied so many balloon animals in my life.. let me back up. Last week we needed a creative way of finding and we thought of tying balloon animals. A member sent us some screenshots and from there we became master balloon animal makers. On the 3rd, we went to a celebration at the park where we set up a booth and everything. It was awesome! We tied about 300 hundred balloon animals, gave out hundreds of cards, and talked a lot about our Savior and His restored church. We had a great day and were headed back to the car, but when we got there someone parked an inch behind us and an inch in front of us. We were stuck. We waited for about an hour until someone could come and pick us up. Earlier that day I asked God if we could see the fireworks since we had to leave before they would start, and He let us 🤣 I didn't know it would involve our car getting stuck but it was worth it haha!

On the 4th of July we went to the Mall of Georgia with the other missionaries in our zone. The plans didn't go as well as we wanted them to, but that's okay. Two missionaries were just walking around the Mall and a mall cop kicked them out of the Mall. Of course they were not doing anything that would require Him to take this action, but either way it happened. We didn't let this stop us from talking to people, so we went store contacting in the stores around the mall.. since we couldn't go in. While in a store, we met this amazing lady! She told us that we were an answer to her prayers because she had been praying to meet people who would talk to her about God. I love how our plans were to go inside the Mall, but if we had not changed our plans we would not have met this lady. God always has a plan, and He is always watching out for us. That night our neighbors did fireworks and we got to watch them from our house!

It was a great week and even more craziness happened! We got transfer calls... I am going to Gainesville to be an STL! I am so excited to be able to serve in Gainesville and help the sisters in my zone 😊 Gainesville is VERY different from my last two areas so I am excited to experience something new! Also, it's my nine month mark this week!

Life is great and I love serving the Lord! Thanks for all the support and love.
