Week 41: 8/6/2018: Gainesvegas
Hey y'all! Another great week in Gainesville or Gainesvegas as they call it 😉
This week there were a lot of tough moments, but I know that those hard times make the good times even better. Being a missionary, I get to know people on a whole different level. This week I learned about a lot of hardships that some people we are working with have gone through. When I first heard their stories I thought, why? Why did we say yes to a plan that enabled us to experience so many trials.. because we loved our Heavenly Father and wanted to be like Him. God wants us to have joy, but trials come because that is life. I don't know why certain things happen to people, but I do know that everything happens for a reason. Our trials lead us to even better things in life. God gave us each individual gifts and talents to help us triumph over our hardships. I know without a doubt God loves us and always will.
This week we were able to have MLC which is a missionary leadership meeting. I was able to learn a lot and also have fun with the other missionaries in the GANM. We talked a lot about inviting people to be baptized because that is our purpose as missionaries. It can sound scary to invite someone to be baptized in the first lesson, but we have seen a lot of success from it!
I love my mission and I love being in Georgia. I am blessed to be here at this time, and I know that God has so much in store for the GANM. Tomorrow, we also get to go to the temple! I love the temple so much because I can feel the influence from those that have passed on. I know family history work is the most important work you can do for someone.
