Kaitlin's Mission

Hey y'all! This week has been great! A lot happened, but I will try not to make this email too long. On Tuesday we went tracting, and we had some really great contacts! I am still a little nervous to door contact, but it was great on Tuesday. We met a man who was really interested, and he asked us who Jesus Christ was to us. Jesus Christ is everything to me. He is the hope that the world needs. The man had almost every scripture from the Bible memorized, and he asked what our favorite part from the Bible was. I don't think he was expecting much from two young Mormons, but I was able to say Matthew 9. I then testified of the importance of faith. In Matthew 9 there is a woman who has a blood disease. She had so much faith in Jesus Christ, and she knew she could be healed if she only touched his garment. Jesus Christ did not feel her physical touch, but he felt the power that she had because of her faith. How crazy is that?! We should all strive to have a faith like that! ...

Hey ya'll! I can't believe it is already P Day! A lot has happeed this week, and I hope ya'll enjoy!  On Tuesday we had an amazing district meeting. I don't remember evrything that was said, but the spirit was sostrong. We were talking about meaningful contacts and how to use the Book of Mormon more effectively. I think we take for granted the amazing power that we can hold between our hands. The Book of Mormon has more power than we even realize. How lucky are we that God has given us this great tool! Sister Oldham and I had a really amazing experience while seeking guidance for our investigators. We were doing companionship study, and what  we were studying really helped us with our investigators. We were able to take the time to really decide what their needs are, and what we can do to help them. I love having a Facebook mission because it is so convenient! Hey ya'll!  I miss everyone so much, but I am in GEORGIA! I flew into Atlanta on Monday, and it has been crazy ever since. This might be a long email so I am sorry ha! The first thing I did was go to the mission home. President and Sister Marsh are the best! They are so fun and I love them. We had dinner with them and we got to see our bikes and everything. That night we also had a Halloween party with the zone which was a lot of fun. The first day here was good.  The next day I got to meet my trainer, Sister Oldham! She is so cute! She is from Utah (of course ), and we get along great. I know Heavenly Father put us together for a reason. She is the best and we work great together. After that, we have just been working hard since. We have gone tracting and store contacting a lot, and this week we taught 7 lessons which was awesome! Hey ya'll!  I have NEVER climbed so many stairs in my life. In case you were wondering it is 110 steps to our classroom on the fifth floor ha! We also live on the fourth floor, and that elevator is way too sketchy to use. So we take the stairs. It is probably a good thing that we always take the stairs because Sunday and Wednesday are ice cream nights. Anyway, I am LOVING the MTC! Anyone who says that you can't love the MTC is lying. I have loved my time here! This week was crazy as usuall, but it was great! Last P day we got to go to the temple as a district! It was a great experience, but I am not going to lie it was really hard to stay awake ha! The sisters were ready to go into the 2:00 session, but of course the Elders took too long and we missed that session. Elders right (; Other than that it was a great time and I am thankful to be able to go to the temple! Hey ya'll! It is finally my P day! It has been a long week, but it has been a week that will change my life. Before I get into my week, I just wanted to say that anyone can email me whenever they want because I can read all my emails as long as I do not respond until my P day. I hope everyone is doing great! Here is a little bit about my week.          The first day was honestly a little overwhelming, and I don't remember a lot of what happened. I got my companion, Sister Warner, and I love her so much! She is from South Jordan and so cute! We get a long and we understand each other. Our roommates are Sister Maddox and Sister Clark. They are the best! We all get along and we are more like a group than two companionships. We call our room the PIT because we are Peaches In Training. I made it! I have a quick minute to email and say hi! It has been overwhelming, but I am excited to start working. My P day is Tuesday so that is when you will here from me next! My new companion is Sister Warner and she went to Bingham high school! I miss everyone so much, but I know that this is the right choice! I love you!
